Growth of allied occupations

The growth of major industries or industrial establishments often leads to the growth of related industries or allied occupations. 

During my last visit to the International Pigeon Exhibition, at Thrissur, Kerala, I noticed some banners that caught my attention. These banners were advertisements of companies that transport pet animals from one place to another.

For people who live in rented houses, keeping pets can be a major hassle, especially when they need to relocate due to a job change. The banner ads offered a solution to this problem. These companies offer services to transport pets safely and securely to the new location, ensuring their safety until our new home is ready.

Another common concern among pet owners is who will take care of their pets when they need to be away from home for a day or more. To address this, there are caretaker organizations for pet animals. These organizations offer a range of services, from taking care of dogs and cats to caring for fish. For an additional cost, pet owners can even see and speak (!!!) to their pets via video calls on a daily basis.

This type of service is reminiscent of the old practice of handing over cows and goats to neighbors and asking them to milk them when the owner had to leave home. However, finding someone to care for cows and goats nowadays can be a daunting task.

Lastly, if you are considering raising an elephant, finding a similar type of facility may be a bit more difficult!
