There are various marketing methods available. One of them is making your products available on product-selling platforms. Among the many platforms available, one of the most common is IndiaMART.
Some of my experiences with the IndiaMART platform are discussed here.
IndiaMART is one of the platforms that appears first when you search for an industrial product. Similarly, your products can also appear when someone searches for items that you manufacture.
Create a seller account on IndiaMART and publish all the products that you manufacture. Based on the data entered, a score will be assigned, so ensure that all products have a 100% score.
To achieve a 100% score, a video must also be uploaded. For this, you can create a PowerPoint presentation and convert it into a video using the option available in PowerPoint itself. (Search “convert PPT to video” and you will find many YouTube videos on this.)
The direct enquiries you receive through IndiaMART are free of cost. However, to receive general enquiries, you need to be a paid subscriber. The fee is nominal and worth trying.
On IndiaMART, you can also see if someone has visited your page. You can then follow up with a call to enquire about their requirements.
The main benefit I have observed is that your product becomes visible to potential customers, who can directly contact you if they are interested or send you a message.
This effort will increase your product visibility on the internet.
One issue is that you may receive frequent calls from IndiaMART encouraging you to become a paid subscriber. If you are not interested, simply answer the call and inform them accordingly. If you are interested, they will explain the various options available and the benefits of each.
